Is Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer really that good?

Monday 5 January 2015
Hi!

I'd just like to start by saying to everyone that has gone back to school today (including me) goodluck! Try your hardest this year:)

So today's post is a review on the extremely popular Rimmel: Wake Me Up Concealer. So as most beauty guru's rave about this, such as Zoella and Miss Glamorazzi, I decided to try it and see if it generally worked for my skin type and tone.

As you can see from the Image above, this concealer has that type of applicator brush (I don't know what it's called, sorry!) I find these the easiest to use, as you don't have to really rub the product on your face (like stick concealers).

It really isn't hard to find your skin tone with this concealer, although Rimmel do not (from what I know) carry dark skin tones. When I went into the shop to buy the product, however, there was only two shades to pick from, which I thought was very poor as these two shades were very light.

And now onto the application. I personally thought that this concealer provides amazing under eye coverage, if you apply a considerate amount of product. It also is great for redness and places such as the nose and chin. However, I would not recommend this product for covering up acne and spots. I have tried on several occasions to cover up spots with this product but it simply either slips straight off or just doesn't give the coverage it should do. When I apply it undereye it stays all day, but this is not the case for spots. Usually I end up applying powder over acne, or using my stick concealer by Barry M. I have to mention that it is crucial you get a good match for your skin otherwise your under eyes are going to be a different colour to your whole face, and you don't want that.

Overall, this is a pretty good concealer, as long as you are not looking to buy it for acne. Thankyou for reading, and it would mean a lot if you could follow. It only takes a millisecond to hit the button<3
