Soap and Glory's: Breakfast Scrub Review

Wednesday 10 June 2015
B R E A K F A S T    S C R U B    R E V I E W

I must admit that I joined the bandwagon on this product. Originally, this was a Christmas present that I forgot about due to the large amount of "skincare/shower/bath" products I received. Then the monthly favourites video's came, and this product featured a lot.

The main good feature of this product is the incredible smell. I would describe it as very sweet, almost like a freshly baked biscuit smell if that makes any sense what so ever. It must be the almond and honey extract. I was a little surprised as it didn't smell as fruity as expected (cupuacu, banana).

As you can see from this picture, the scrub is very oily, and when I used it I found that it almost conditioned my skin as well as exfoliating it.

As for the results, this scrub is very harsh. Unlike Lush's Ocean Scrub Scrub Scrub, it has some sort of black and white particles in it, making it scrub at your skin thoroughly. In my opinion, this scrub is excellent for use once a week but I would not recommend using this every time you shower as it could irritate skin, especially sensitive skin.

As for the smell, I lasted on my skin for at least 1 hour, but I didn't notice anything after that.

R E S U L T S

EXFOLIATION: 10/10
SMELL: 9/10 (I don't think everyone would enjoy it)
AFTER EFFECT: 11/10 (my skin is so soft!)

Very high results! What is your opinion on this product? Would you like to try it?

Casual Shopping

Wednesday 3 June 2015

C A S U A L   S H O P P I N G

Hope everyone is doing well! So in the half term, I went shopping with Murphy (big suprise!) and I took some photo's that I thought you'd like to see. I've missed doing these!
(thanks to the lovely lady in "White Stuff" for giving Murphy a treat!)

(an amazing antique shop that I enjoyed looking around)
Had to have a sneaky look in Superdrug, and I am obsessed with the new nail range from Barry M! The colours are so beautiful!

As always, thankyou for reading!

2 Ingredients to Squeaky Clean Brushes and a Full Purse

Friday 15 May 2015

So recently I learnt a recipe using things you can find around the house and I had to try it. So my ECOTOOLS Brushes are a little worse for wear due to my laziness of not washing them and this has literally been my saviour. So enough of me babbling on, let's get started!

YOU WILL NEED:

1/2 Natural Olive Oil
1/2 Gentle (you have to get gentle if you don't want to ruin your brushes) Normal Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap

Begin by mixing your 2 ingredients in a normal plate. I used this plate I've had since who knows when, simply because it had ridges and reminded me of the expensive brush cleaners (which are no different really)

Here's the Olive Oil I used, nothing special but just make sure there is no nasty preservatives or anything that could possibly ruin your brushes in there.
Super cheap soap, I chose this because it states that it is gentle (and pink aha) An alternative to this is baby shampoo, although it is not anti-bacterial so all the nasties will still be in your brushes, but if it's urgent then Baby Shampoo (or normal) will do.

Because of the soap, the mixture should froth an make a perfect substance to wash your brushes. Now just run the tap water and swirl the brushes the brushes around the plate.
DONEEEE!

It's that easy, and cheap. Let's do some comparing.

mac studio fix brush cleaner: £11

my brush cleaner: £3

So you just saved around £8 and my substance is better for your brushes as well.

Thanks for reading!

I'm So Sorry

Sunday 10 May 2015

Hello Everyone.

As you can see by the title, this isn't going to be the most upbeat post. I just really having been getting the motivation I want to write blog posts anymore. I don't feel the excitement of clicking publish, and I feel forced to stay up late and post.

I really want to get back into blogging, but I need everyone to keep me motivated. I feel like when I post I have to put in a lot of effort to get comments. I love love love getting feedback but I only get 1 comment when I used to get lots, and it really made me smile.

From now on, I will pledge to write (if possible) at least one post a week. I enjoyed blogging so much and can't wait to get back into the swing of things. To be honest, I was posting 3 times a week which is very stressful, but I hope everyone will stay for me and not my lack of posts.

Your constant support honestly means the world to me and I cannot wait to start my studio up again!

Love you all,

Makeup Wishlist (February - April 2015)

Saturday 18 April 2015

Hello everybody!

Today I'm sharing my Makeup Wishlist. Most of this list contains pricey makeup (because it's obviously a wishlist, not that you can't wish for drugstore but if it's expensive you usually want it more!) like Chanel and Mac. Let's begin!
1) A Chanel Lipstick

Let's face it, who doesn't want a Chanel lipstick? They are classy, the packaging is stunning and the overall lipstick looks a pleasure to wear. Although with the extremely expensive tag of £26 I will have to save my pennies for a little while.

2) A NARS Blush

I just love the look and colour scheme of NARS Blushes! They also look super pretty on, (from what I've seen). Unfortunately for me and fellow UK Beauty enthusiasts NARS is not available here:( Look's like I will have to save for a plane ticket and blush!

3) MORE Mac lipsticks!

I have a serious obsession with mac lipsticks. I only have 3, and of course me being 13 I can't really afford tons of them. But can anyone relate (if they only have a couple) that they LOVE the moment when they can finally use their mac lipstick. Am I weird? haha.

4) Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation

So many youtubers (Promise Phan I'm looking at you) use this foundation and make it look amazing that I need it! It just looks so silky and flawless when applied. Shame this is an overseas brand again!

5) Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush

Again from the same range, the Amazonian Clay Blush. Love the packaging, blush shape, colours and mirror size! Need.

6) Too Faced Sweetheart Blush

These are possibly the cutest blushes ever. Adorable packaging, Cute colours and natural. Also just realised that brush is to die for too. Bye savings!

7) Naked Palette

Pretty sure I'm the only beauty blogger in the world to not own a Naked Palette. They are the god of eyeshadow palettes and I need! They are just so pricey, it's a shame! Time for me to look for a dupe.

As always thanks for reading and I will see you in the next post!

My Weekend in Photographs

Tuesday 14 April 2015
(Lepe Beach, 12.4.15)

 Hello everyone<3
Today I thought I'd share with you all the photos I took over the weekend, mainly consisting of doggy and walking haha. Also, let me know if you enjoy these posts or you want me to go back to my usual beauty posts. Bye for now xx

 Africa or England?
When I fail at trying to be tumblr.
(Creepy abandoned railway shelter in Lyndhurst, 11.4.15)

If you've been following my blog for a while now you'll know this is probably my most frequent and enjoyable shot to take, running puppy!
Who doesn't like cheesy chips? So good.
When the sun finally made it's way to the UK, me and my dad headed to the beach with (of course) my famous dog Murphy haha.
Don't really know if Murphy was that keen to be honest.

Maybelline: 24 Colour Stay Tattoo Eyeshadow Review

Wednesday 8 April 2015

A blog post from me, wow! I'm literally so sorry that I disappeared for a bit but I have been SOOOO busy! Anyway enough excuses, today I am doing a review of the ever so raved about "Maybelline Colour Tattoo" eyeshadow. I only purchased the beautiful colour "Rose Gold" because in my opinion it was the prettiest there. Also annoyingly I was £2 short of getting another one (on and on bronze to be exact) so that's frustrating.
The colour range for this particular product is "okay" but I wouldn't rave about. This colour was the only one that really caught my eye. It's just so stunning! Note that I'm basing this off of the colours that my Superdrug stocked.
The pigmentation of this product I have to say is pretty good. I only have to build up two layers for an even coverage. This colour is not for the daring as it is very subtle and natural.

Here is the colour next to a regular pressed powder. As you can see it is much more opaque. I generally prefer the formula and feel of this eye shadow much better than any pressed one.

OVERALL
I would give...
COVERAGE: 8/10
COLOUR: of this particular shade, 10/10
PRICE: 4/10, for drugstore £4.99 for a small pot is quite pricey

Quite high marks I'd say! Tell me what you think of this product in the comments.
See You Soon! (with any luck haha)

Spring Photography and Important Update!

Tuesday 31 March 2015
Hello everyone, hope your doing well. I'm so sorry about the lack of posts (said that in my last post as well I know) but I've been super sick for ages and it's just been one of those weeks were I just haven't felt like blogging. Luckily the other day I went for a walk with my dog and took some cool photography. It's not like my usual stuff but it's a good to have a change once in a while:)

IMPORTANT UPDATE!:
I have also been super busy making a YOUTUBE! It was a big step from pictures (you can edit!) to video but it's so fun to film and edit! There's a bug where I cannot post the video here but I will post a link to my channel below if you want to have a look:)
